ENGINEERING

If you are looking to automate your gaging process then we are here to help. We have experience interfacing both contact and non-contact measurement systems with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs. Contact measurement systems include LVDTs and non-contact includes laser displacement sensors. We have experience with Mitutoyo, Solartron, Keyence, and Cognex measurement devices. We are open to using whatever brand of PLC, HMI, or measurement device you desire. If you need to record data for statistical process control and/or show your customer evidence that the parts are being inspected, then we can store the measurement data onto an Excel file or USB thumb drive. We have designed systems that sort parts into bins based on the tolerance zone they fall in. We can also mark parts or serialize them based on your need (e.g. reject part gets a red dot).

We’ve taken on a slew of different design projects. We’ve designed and built dies, gages, testing rigs, fixtures, and others. With a Master’s in mechanical engineering, our designer is well versed in the engineering principles required to meet strict requirements, such as strength of materials, machine design, and design for manufacturability. Since we bring our designs to life under the same roof as inception, we are able to keep costs down and provide quick turnaround times.

We employ SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, NanoCAD, Solid Edge and Fusion 360 to assist with any design needs. We adhere to all customer’s design requirements, such as units, angle projection, dimensioning style, title blocks, etc. If necessary, we will supply a concept model of the project along with a detailed quote, so you understand fully what is being provided.

We use computer aided manufacturing to efficiency program our CNC machinery. We use both Mastercam and Fusion 360 for programming. We are experienced in complex 3D machining as well. All of our knee mills are equipped with ProtoTRAK and ACU-RITE controls allowing for quick conversational programming at the machine.

Do you need a replacement component made but don’t have a CAD print? We can reverse engineer items supplying a 3D model as well as dimensioned and toleranced drawings. Not sure on the material or heat treat? We can estimate an ample replacement. Some of our customers want the reverse engineered design altered to prevent the failure from occurring.
